Life & Travel Photography

In photography, they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Some of them do, yes. Some other just invite you to the silent thought. A part of a meditation session, where you evaluate your place in the universe of human interactions and your feelings. Photography is a great way of art expression – you mix reality with fantasy through you visual sense of the universe.

Each photograph is a construction. Sometimes this is a meticulous process, sometimes it takes an instant, under the pressure of the moment. In photography, you build the final picture using different bricks, but most of times they are of the same kind : passion, awareness (when you connect yourself to the universe around you and immerse yourself into the moment), the photo gear that you use and the algorithms of composition.

I am certain it all has something to do with the photography skills of my grandmother. She was a studio photographer, the last one of her kind in our city, before the photography became popular with its 35mm film compact cameras and later, with the digital era. She used to work with large format cameras and back then, the photography involved the art of using correction pencils on negatives.

The passion for photography and visual arts started with the heritage from my grandmother and continued with the growth of my spirit and life experience. I’ll let my photos speak and I think they’ll contain different messages for each one of us.
